Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of Librarian — The Book Manager provided by Marian Anbu Studio. By creating an account, starting a trial or using the apps you agree to them on behalf of yourself and your Institution.

1. The service

Librarian is a cloud library management service for schools, colleges and libraries, with web, PWA and mobile apps. Features depend on the plan chosen by the Institution.

2. Accounts

  • The Institution’s school admin is responsible for the accounts it creates and for keeping passwords secure.
  • Information you provide must be accurate. You must be authorised by the Institution to accept these terms.

3. Trials, subscription and payment

  • New Institutions may receive a free trial. After the trial a paid plan is needed to continue.
  • Subscriptions are billed in Indian Rupees (₹) for the period shown on the invoice, plus GST as applicable. Renewal invoices are issued before the end of each period and payable online (Razorpay, UPI or bank transfer, as offered).
  • If a renewal is not paid by the end of the grace period, the Institution’s library is suspended — data is kept safe but staff and members cannot use it. Paying the invoice renews the subscription and restores access automatically.
  • Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law or agreed in writing.

4. Your data

The Institution owns the data it adds. You grant us permission to process it only to provide and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your data at any time from Reports and the backup tools.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not misuse the service, attempt to access other Institutions’ data, upload unlawful or infringing material, or send spam through SMS / WhatsApp alerts.
  • Messages sent through your own WhatsApp / SMS provider must follow that provider’s rules and TRAI / DLT regulations.
  • E-library links and uploaded files must respect copyright.

6. Third-party services

Payment gateways, messaging providers, AI providers and app stores are operated by third parties under their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability or charges.

7. Availability and support

We aim to keep Librarian available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible. Support is available through the Help Desk, email and WhatsApp.

8. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid by the Institution in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Termination

An Institution may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or remain unpaid. On closure you may request an export of your data within 30 days.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
